Info at

This is the major meet for young athletes in Northern Alberta. Unfortunately it clashes with Provincial High Schools Championships so the high school field is very small. Please enter yourselves. This is a great meet for those in elementary and junior high schools. If you plan to race please let coach George know so that he will know who to look out for. This is important – if no-one lets him know they will be there he will not go to the meet. So far only Haden Thomas and Katie McCallion have let us know they will be there, Make sure George is aware if you are racing so he can look out for you.

The major club meet of the cross country season. We encourage all our members to compete. The club will pay entry fees for this meet if ,b>you get your info to Phil by Friday, Oct 25th. After that date you will be responsible for entering yourself and paying your entry fee of $30. There is no mention of late entries on the tech package but they are usually double the regular entry fee.

Tech package

Details are now on the Athletics Canada website FYI Phil has a Swoop flight booked leaving Edmonton Nov 28th at 11.50, returning Dec. 1st at 9.45. Flight including carry on bag was less than $200. Meet hotel is the Sandman Inn, cost for 3 nights about $450 inc tax. There is other less expensive accommodation available but staying at the meet hotel does have some advantages, For example they usually have free shuttle transportation to and from the course. If you plan to go let Phil know ASAP. The club will pay entry fees for this meet. Book early for the best prices and best selection of accommodation. Please note this year there is an under 16 section – on a trial basis.

Wrong; It was stated in the last update that there was a change in distance for under 18 girls to 6km. This was a rumor started by????– women’s under 18 race is 4km Men’s under 18 is 6km. This was confirmed by Athletics Canada this week.

Beginning to catch up – on some results.
